About fifteen years ago, after Seth attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, he rented a small apartment in town. Like most exiting college, the big question: Now what do I do? He never really cared for tattoos because he didn’t believe that they could ever look good.
One day he ran into a gentleman standing outside a tattoo shop below his apartment. The guy had an amazing portrait of Kurt Cobain that blew Seth’s mind. At that moment his interest was piqued and he began working at American Tattoo. He would later go on to open Artform Gallery & Tattoo.

Tattoo artist Jhon Gutti has been interested in art since he was a child. Tattoos grabbed his interest when he was watching martial arts movies and saw a fighter with a tattoo. He immediately began working on drawings and cartoons, and then get his first tattoo when he was 15.
At 21, Jhon bought his first machine and started practicing and in 2006 he did his very first tattoo. He had a friend who was a tattoo artist and taught him the basics – like how set up and use the machine, how to apply colors, and how to be clean. He told us that most of the skills he has now, he developed by studying pictures from artists he admired. “Learning how they worked helped me find my own style.”
Today, Jhon works at Outer Limits Tattoo in Long Beach, California. Outer Limits opened it’s doors in 1927 and is the oldest continuously operated tattoo shop in America and the second oldest in the world!

Gabriel Cece’s interest in tattoos began at a young age. He started drawing his first designs when he was just 13. A few years later, at the age of 16, Gabriel got his first tattoo and that’s when he knew tattooing was what he was going to do.
In 1995, shortly after turning 18, he had a short-lived apprenticeship in Gary, Indiana where he began picking up the basics of tattooing. From there, Gabriel’s father bought him a kit and and autoclave. After 6 months he’d taught himself enough to get a job at another shop, and he’s been tattooing professionally since.
